Paulmann makes light out of passion and has been doing so for over 35 years. This means for every Paulmann employee: we make good light for our customers. And that means light that makes you feel good, in all rooms. Lamps and lights from Paulmann, a total of over 2,500 products, meet this requirement.
Paulmann Licht is a family company headquartered in Springe, Lower Saxony, with presence and activities in more than 40 countries.
Detlev Paulmann has been running the company, founded by his father Rüdiger, in the second generation since 2004. For him, good lighting is essential for our quality of life with many unused opportunities to bring light into the home: “We humans are dependent on vision and therefore on light. Light not only stages our rooms and provides orientation, but it also has a strong influence on mood and well-being. That's why we see our products as much more than just aesthetic furnishings. Light is our job! We improve the quality of living for our customers. That’s why we develop our products.”
How did it start, what happens next? Detlev Paulmann: “The company’s history began when my father transformed the mere light bulb into a light source with a variety of decorative properties. Paulmann then established the cable system as a flexible solution for almost every room. We continue to develop these lighting systems with high-quality halogen low-voltage light to this day. At the same time, we completed the range of lighting in the living space with all other applications: track systems, recessed lights, spotlights, wall and ceiling lights and many other special types of lights. We want to offer people good light in every situation - that's why all light sources, i.e. bulbs and luminaires, are available in halogen, energy-saving technology and LED technologies. LED solutions are already taking up a lot of space today and will increase significantly due to their energetic but also aesthetic advantages.”
By the way: The Association of Family Businesses also believes that Paulmann is a very special company and awarded Paulmann the Entrepreneur Award of the Year 2011.
A team of 500 people worldwide, including 278 colleagues at the Springe/Völksen location, stands for “light from people for people”. It makes Paulmann a dynamic family business with a corporate culture based on partnership.
